Rethinking the Birth of Jesus
Led by Brian Suntken

7:00 pm
Barlow Community Center

How have centuries of Christian history biased the reading of the Nativity stories as they are found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke?
These narratives speak powerfully about our deepest yearnings for
God's promises and passions. They are at once both personal and political.

What do these stories mean?
The birth narratives read in their original context are
far more richer and more challenging than most people imagine.

Gifted teacher and preacher, Brian Suntken, has used his passion for God and God's people in a lifetime of community activism and dedication to the spiritual and intellectual growth and enrichment of every individual.
In addition his service to The Community of Saint John, Brian is a Chaplain for Crossroads Hospice in Green, Ohio.
