Brian S. Suntken, Minister
Brian Suntken was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the son of a Dutch Reformed minister, and grew up in New York City. Before going into the ordained ministry, Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance at The Manhattan School of Music in New York City in 1983. He had completed the first year of a Masters degree at Manhattan when the French Government awarded him with a scholarship to study in Paris at the L’Ecole Normale de Musique. Brian earned his Masters of Divinity degree from The General Theological Seminary in 1989, and served as an Episcopal priest for 23 years.
Brian has used his passion for God and God's people in a lifetime of community activism and dedication to the spiritual and intellectual growth and enrichment of every individual. In addition his service to The Community of Saint John, Brian is a Chaplain for Crossroads Hospice in Green, Ohio. He has taught courses in the Center for Aging Initiatives at Cuyahoga County Community College in subjects ranging from The Life and Operas of Giuseppe Verdi to Herod the Great, in addition to recording and producing television shows for Hudson Cable Television. .
